PHOTOS: European DIVERGENT Premiere in London - March 30

DIVERGENT took over Leicster Square in London for the European premiere. The super cool red carpet event was decorated with giant faction symbols and a fan area with choosing ceremony bowls, fake tattoo station, aptitude test, and more. Stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Kate Winslet, & Ben Lloyd Hughes signed for fans and posed for photos, along with Director Neil Burger and author Veronica Roth. Everyone looked fab, and there was much applause in the screening that followed. Check out the photos after the cut:

Shailene Woodley attended the 20th Century Fox CinemaCon 2014 panel for her upcoming movie The Fault In Our Stars, earlier today, held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Shailene will also receive "CinemaCon Female Star of Tomorrow Award" for proving she is a rising star to watch in Hollywood and her work in The Descendants, Divergent and TFIOS. Everybody pat yourselves on the back, because DIVERGENT is currently the Number 1 movie in America with

"Recognizing that this potential franchise was a key part of the company's long-term prospects, Summit Entertainment (a Lionsgate company) executed a blockbuster-level marketing campaign for Divergent. While it wasn't explicitly stated in marketing material, Divergent was essentially sold as the heir to the Twilight and Hunger Games franchises. That may have made the movie look derivative to some people, but it did manage to connect with many outside of the book's fanbase: only half of the audience read the book ahead of time, which compares favorably to Twilight (74 percent) and The Hunger Games (76 percent)."
